This stunning glass was first created by famous Friedrich Egermann (1777-1864). He worked 16 years to develop the complex technology necessary to produce this beautiful glassware. A thin layer of dark red glass is layered over crystal clear glass, and then ornately engraved. Designs composed of arabesques, rococo shells, castles, hunting scenes and other traditional motifs are usually used. These lovely pieces are totally safe for all culinary uses and treasured throughout the world. |
